Freak Magnet
Freak Magnet formed in 2020 to develop and produce compelling, character-driven stories, which have a way of finding its founders first.
Jonathan Goldman and Brent Henderson started their partnership during the heyday of Thom Beers’ Original Productions. Collaborating on flagship shows like “Ax Men,” “Black Gold” and “Ice Road Truckers,” the duo were recruited to build new worlds for the company’s burgeoning slate. Together Goldman and Henderson helped create cinematic adventure shows for History Channel, Discovery, A&E and NatGeo that helped define an era at Original. After producing over 250 hours of television for Original (as well as shows for 3Ball, Ample Entertainment, Relativity and Vice) Goldman and Henderson decided it was time to branch out on their own. Freak Magnet currently has projects set up with Imagine Entertainment, BBC, Aggregate Films and Discovery+.
Jonathan Goldman
Goldman got his start working under the wing of film director, Phillip Noyce. He left the nest after selling screenplays to TNT and Constantine Film and moved into non-scripted fare in 2008. He was most recently Executive Producer on “Cooper’s Treasure” for Amblin Entertainment, “Guardians of the Glades” for Discovery Channel and "Devoured" for ViceTV. He’s a member of the DGA and WGA.
Brent Henderson
Henderson cut his teeth at Simon Andreae’s Incubator, directing Discovery Channel’s critically acclaimed, “Surgery Saved My Life.” He has produced television across the globe, including Iraq, Burma, the Arctic and West Africa. Most recently he served as Executive Producer on “Guardians of the Glades” for Discovery Channel, “Southern Survival” for Netflix and "Devoured" for ViceTV.
